About Qigong

Qigong (CHEE-GONG), is a 4,000-year-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) alternative modality. Taught as a meditative exercise, it simultaneously balances and heals core issues in the mind, body, and spirit. Qigong improves physical health, releases PTSD from the body, restores mental health, improves balance, posture, and flexibility, and connects one with the present and their breath. The movements are slow, precise, focused, and intentional. 

Qigong is used to control energy (Qi), strengthen the flow of energy in the meridians (energy pathways in the body), focus, and channel internal energy. Qigong’s repetitive movements connect the body and breath, increase blood and qi (energy) circulation in the body, reduce stress, strengthen organs, and to breathe more deeply. In qigong's series of movements, the practitioners learn to heal with movement and explore feeling through movement. 

Each session is customized to the client's need whether it be to relax the mind, restore vitality, work through deep emotions, trauma, or curiosity to learn the practice.
